We planned a couple stops into our cross country move to do some things we have always wanted to but never got around to doing while we were here. The first thing we did was stop at Zion National Park, we have driven by it about 10 times in the last 5 years, and just never been able to stop, we decided it was now or never.
It really is so beautiful there!
It was super hot, so standing still and taking photos was a challenge.
We took the bus all the way to the end of the park and took an easy hike to a beautiful creek, played around for a bit and then hiked back for some lunch.
The kids did really good and I was so glad, that made the heat much easier to deal with.
Can you spot the deer in the background of the photo?
Taking a break for some smiles
We finally made it to the end destination, the views were spectacular!

Austin, Paige and Neal playing in the creek
After our hiking we went back to the lodge and got a late lunch
I have never seen Austin choose homework over food, especially hot dogs, but he was very intent upon finishing up his Jr Ranger workbook before he ate.
Austin wouldn't stop running or watching animals long enough to get a photo of him on the big camera, but the photogenic one of the house always has time for a wonderful smile!
